We are pleased to welcome Hasan Onder, General Manager of the Rize Tea Trade Centre and tea producer, for an exceptional tasting talk on Turkish tea culture.
🫖 Turkish Tea Culture, linked to Azerbaijan, is listed as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO: a true symbol of hospitality and a key to socializing.
🌿 Turkey, with its 800 hectares of plantations on the eastern Black Sea, has more than 200,000 families involved in tea production. Hasan Onder, himself a plantation owner, will share his field experience and his vision of tea becoming the national drink, with 3.7 kg consumed per capita – a world record.
