Workshop 2: Introduction to Chanoyu – Serving Matcha
Ages 8 and up, 1.5 hours, bring 1 pair of white socks
This workshop is an immersion in the art of serving tea. Participants learn how to prepare usucha, a light matcha.
The session ends with a guided tasting, where everyone savors the matcha accompanied by a Japanese treat, taking the time to appreciate its flavors and textures.
The instructor
Cecilia, a chajin of the Omotesenke school, has been passionate about the art of chanoyu for many years. She leads demonstrations and workshops for all audiences, especially the youngest, with a caring and educational approach, faithful to the spirit of chadō.
