The Four Treasures of Chaozhou Gongfu Tea are both practical and deeply cultural:
1. Yushu Wei 玉书煨 (Clay Kettle) – for boiling “living water”, its lid even sings when it nears boiling.
2. Chaoshan Stove 潮汕炉 (Red Clay Stove)– a compact red clay stove for charcoal fire, symbolizing the “living fire” of tea.
3. Mengchen Pot 孟臣罐 (Red Clay Teapot)– a small Chaozhou red clay teapot that concentrates aroma and flavor.
4. Ruochen Cup 若琛杯 – delicate white porcelain cups that highlight the tea’s color and invite shared tasting.
